we’re in London, staying at this guy’s Patrick’s really nice flat. Had a great show last night, again with Lucas Abela and the residents of the gluerooms, good turnout, 40/50 peeps were there and a great time! we’ll be off to brighton for our last UK show and then returning to mighty Tilburg.
put out the flags, unleash the banners and send in the welcome committee, vatican analog is almost homeward bound….

At this very moment we are writing this blog, while leeching internet from a house in the neighbourhood, with our laptop on a bridge. True workingclass noise from tilburg… keep the beer cold and the women hot, we’ll be back soooooooon.

Unexpected fun in Leeds
May 28, 2007
Today we arrived in the beautiful sparkling city of Leeds. It was quite a strange day; we arrived at 3 PM at the venue we were going to play and after the first show ended the pub-owner closed down the cellar it was in because some guys with pigmasks (Smell and Quim) were smashing the floor with a sledgehammer. Quite understandable, buy it looked fucking good! After this strange start of the evening the whole line-up of the evening was wondering what their possibilities were… We decided to stay in Leeds and we had luck. Another venue was found, which was even better the the first one!
After a short ride by car we arrived at the Common Place, a nice squat with a nice podium and a good vibe going on. And some real good acts played! Our friend Lea from Kylie Minoise, Lucas Abela and a some others who also decided to stay. Vince was kicking some real ass, Staplerfahrer drilled the place and The Jim Morrisons freaked out, as usual!
We also met some nice guys from Holland, Arnhem to be exact, nice to talk Dutch again. We also sold some of our records… What a night! Thanks to Luke for the great sleeping accomodation!
stop… picture time!

Glasgow reprise and Sheffield
May 27, 2007
Friday evening was quite weird. After waiting several hours for the promoters we could finally set up the Ra-X gear. The night was in a basement under a hotel, which was quite posh. And well, then the electro night started… 3 other DJ acts started up the night before it was Ra-X’s turn. After the fabulous show, which kinda scared most of the locals, the VA-clan was seperated from eachother because there wasn’t enough place to sleep at promotor nr. 1.
Anyway, several hours of crap music later we finally rested our heads. We split town to head down south. Down to the lake district for some r & r, some good curry and a long, hot shower.
We’ve just arrived in sheffield. nice location, but instead of listening/reading our shite musings, we’ve posted some pics of the last few days for ya.
cheers!

Glasgow madness
May 25, 2007
The Vatican Analog crew has arrived up north. Glasgow to be exact, our town for the next three days. On our way to this hipstertown we saw a lot of hills, sheep, cows and some beautiful views.
During this 6 hour ride we had some trouble with our Mazda; a little motorproblem and a stone that flew straight through our windshield. Fuck it. Scotland is, as always, a bit rainy, but the venue (The 13th Note) is a nice place with a laidback vibe.
Yesterday night we played our shows of Dutch terror and the crowd liked it. Last night we had some beers/listened to good old Velvet Underground and Nico and slept at Lee’s Kovorox HQ, which was quite comfortable. Check out the Kylie Minoise stuff, it rocks. Tonight RA-X and Staplerfahrer will unleash their tunes on the Iridium crowd at the Brunswick Hotel… Looking forward to it…
Catch up later for more info…
Cheers,
JIM
Derby Crushed! Reply!
May 23, 2007
Just finished our gig in Derby. Arsey Rob kicked some ass with his powerful electronic set. Dressed in a UK policeuniform (including hat and mime-face mask) he drilled the Five Lamps, just like us . Oh, by the way: six paying costumers. See ya tomorrow
.
